The developing coronavirus pandemic is spreading all across the UK and the world. We, like many other business are treating the pandemic with the highest priority to aid in the reduction of its growth rate, preserving NHS beds and therefor protecting lives. We monitor government guidance daily and take extra actions to ensure that neither our customers, logistics or employees are exposed.
We are a very small company and have assessed risk from each operation within our business. We are continuing to operate as normal, with some extra control measures in place to aid in hygiene.
The order process, will remain the same. The World Health Organisation has stated “risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low. ” [1]
The logistics however, will be subject to change. The delivery service will likely uphold social distancing when delivering your packages, and may not require a signature upon delivery.
We are following social distancing guidelines and also increasing levels of hygenie, such as washing hands regularly between tasks and wearing protective gloves when handling customers orders, despite the risk of transfer being low, we like to take extra measures.
To date, the timescale of orders to be completed have not changed. We will of course advise if this does change in the future.
We hope you are all keeping safe,
Hannah Woodley
